Estas son algunas pinturas originales y enmarcadas, listas para encontrar un hogar. El par de piezas pequeñas retratan magníficas escenas del volcán Popocatépetl, que tuve la suerte de observar en dos diferente ocasiones, una desde un avión y otra desde un globo aerostático. Las otras tres pinturas, forman parte de una serie en la que plasmé rincones de la zona rural de la Frailesca, en Chiapas.

Este es un vistazo a mi refugio, el lugar donde muchas de mis ideas se materializan y plasman, donde el agua y el color se funden. En ocasiones, solo anhelo el momento en el que oscurece para poder regresar a mi estudio, pues la noche trae la quietud que necesito a mi alrededor para poder concentrarme en mi pintura. El canto de los grillos, de las ranitas chirriadoras y el fresco de la vegetación llegan desde la ventana que da a mi pequeño jardín. Aunque, en ocasiones, me parece que no tengo la mejor iluminación para observar mi selección de colores, me parece que es el mejor momento para que fluyan las ideas y la creatividad. Así que te presento uno de mis rincones favoritos, donde me siento en libertad y siendo yo misma. También, podrás observar algunos dibujos, estudios y pinturas que he desarrollado en los últimos años. ¡Gracias por leerme y echarle un vistazo a mi blog!

This is a glimpse into my haven, the place where many of my ideas take shape and form, where water and color merge. Sometimes, I long for the moment when darkness falls so I can return to my studio, for the night brings the stillness I need to concentrate on my painting. The chirping of crickets, the croaking of frogs, and the coolness of the vegetation drift in through the window overlooking my small garden. Although sometimes I feel the lighting isn’t ideal for observing my color selection, I believe it’s the perfect time for ideas and creativity to flow. So, I present to you one of my favorite corners, where I feel free and can be myself. You’ll also see some drawings, studies, and paintings I’ve created over the past few years. Willapa Bay AiR

I feel so lucky and grateful to have been chosen to spend a month working on my painting/drawing at Willapa Bay AiR. This is a marvelous Artist Residence located in the State of Washington, USA. 

What did I find there? I found the Pacific Ocean, inspiration, forest, creative freedom, delicious food, wonderful accommodation and studio, talented people, friendship, dark starry skies, s’mores and much more!

Me siento muy afortunada y agradecida de haber sido seleccionada para pasar un mes trabajando en mi pintura/dibujo en Willapa Bay AiR. Esta excelente estancia artística se encuentra localizada en el estado de Washington, en EUA. 

¿Qué es lo que encontré ahí? Encontré el océano pacifico, inspiración, el bosque, libertad creativa, comida exquisita, maravillosos hospedajes y estudios, personas muy talentosas, amistad, cielos oscuros y estrellados, s’mores, ¡y mucho más!

The Medios Acuosos Competition is an annual national competition organised by The National Watercolour Museum “Alfredo Guati Rojo,” a beautiful place located in Mexico City, to encourage innovation and experimentation in watercolour painting, gouache, ink and watercolour mixed media. I was so glad to learn that my watercolour and ink painting “Día amarillo II” was granted the Second Prize! So here are some pictures of the exhibition. 🙂
